28 weeks

I had my 28 week appointment on May 2 and it went well. Dr. G had a full schedule that morning so I waited for about 30 minutes before I got to see him. He measured my belly and the baby's heart rate. His heart rate was a little more than last time at 152 but Dr. G said that was perfectly normal. So glad to hear that! He also said that his movement is going to slow down as he gets bigger since he has less space to move. His sharp kicks and stretching will turn into bumps and slow movements under my skin. So far he has been right! The other night Chris and I were sitting down watching tv and I was feeling my belly because It just felt uncomfortable. His head was sticking out on my upper right side and then all of a sudden I felt his feet on the lower left side of my belly! Such a crazy feeling but so special feeling and seeing him like that...makes him more real:)

We also have noticed or "come to grips" with the fact that my belly button is pretty much popped! It sticks outs more when he's right behind it but it more or less is always out!

April Happenings

April has been busy and full of exciting weekends! We started out the month going to an Aero's game. I had never been to a hockey game before and Chris, since he was younger, so we were eager to watch the game. It just so happened to be Sam Houston night (how random?!) and they were handing out free t-shirts, key chains, etc. To say the game was lacking in excitement would be an understatement! Anything goes in hockey from shoving and hitting to slaming your opponent up against the wall! The Aero's beat the San Antonio team 5 - 4 so it was a great night to go to a game:) We went with Kristen and her brother, James so it was good times all around!

Later on, we had the privilege of going to the Sugar Land Skeeters opening day game! It was so cool! The stadium was so neat. It was all open and had a merry go-round and water park behind the outfield. The game was sold out at 7,500 people and it was such an experience to watch a baseball game so close to home! They had tons of games and prizes in between the innings plus a firework show at the end. The actual game was a good one of course mistakes were made but that's what makes it fun! You get to watch the players make some really awesome major-league plays but you also witness the little mistakes:) We can't wait to go back again and later take Caleb to his first baseball game!!

April 28th was my uncle Tommy's 50th Birthday and he pulled out all the stops to make it one to remember! He had a huge, blow-up water slide, lawn mower races and they even pulled a matress behind the four-wheeler. It was a fun time with lots of family and friends, tons of food, presents and cake(s)! He had such a good time and we are not going to forget this party for a while!
